Driving Update of June 20, 2010 In the post below you have three bridges out on West Park Road. That was true until the middle of May . The bridge north of the north shore exit on West Park road is now open. The detour is only a couple of miles out of ones way. What you have to do is exit the North Shore onto West Park road by turning right (north) About one mile West Park road crosses 79 (new bridge) at the end of the bridge turn left onto Zion Church Road. Then left again at tee intersection onto Currie Road. Stay on Currie Road till it intersects 422. Turn left and 79 will be 1/2 mile ahead. WARNING When you are on Currie Road you will pass a large campground , shortly after that there is a one lane bridge and it is on a blind curve.
IMPORTANT
You can still enter the North Shore dir ectly from 422 west bound only. Get off 79 north at exit 99 travel east on 422 for 2 miles, get off at the South Shore exit . At the stop sign turn left and go under 422. Turn left again onto the 422 west bound ramp. Travel approx. 2 miles, get off at the North Shore exit. Follow to a tee intersection, turn right at the bicycle rental parking lot will be a short drive on your right. This is where we are holding a star party Aug 6. We had over 60 people last year and only 3 scopes. Hopefully we will have a better turnout this year.

3/11/2010 11:48:00 AM Beginning March 9, 2010 a total of three (3) bridges will be closed on West Park Road for structural repairs and deck replacement. The resulting detours will add travel time entering and exiting the North Shore of Moraine State Park. 3/11/2010 11:31:00 AM Beginning Friday December 4th, 2009 Cabin Renters will be required to check-in at the Park Office. A key box is available in the lobby for after-hours arrival. The Park Office is located on the South Shore of Moraine State Park, 225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville.
