About Us
Looking up since 1956, the Litchfield Hills Amateur Astronomy Club promotes the enjoyment of amateur astronomy through education, meetings, and public outreach. We host public star parties each month from February through November. See the calendar for dates and times. On request, we also do stargazing events and presentations for schools, libraries, scout groups and community service organizations.
We meet on the second Friday of each month except July at 7:30pm at Center Congregational Church, located at 155 Main Street in Torrington, CT. (During the pandemic we are meeting via Zoom.) All are welcome. Our main web site is at lhastro.org (the calendar there may be more up to date than the one on this site) and check out our new Facebook page at the address below.
