Welcome to the Star Creek Astronomical Society!

Located in beautiful, rural, Woodward, Oklahoma. We welcome all visitors and new people to our group.

The Starcreek Astronomical Society (SAS) has partnered with the Selman Living Laboratory (SLL) Observatories, located in Freedom, Oklahoma, through the North West Oklahoma State University (NWOSU) and the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), to allow us use of their extensive facilities. Star-Parties and Viewing nights are held regularly throughout the year, and all visitors are welcome to join us for an evening of Astronomical Star-Gazing. At the Selman Living Laboratory observatory, there are telescopes available onsite for public use. Come enjoy the skies with us!

We Do Outreach:

The Starcreek Astronomical Society does outreach year-round, weather permitting. We help to provide the star parties offered in July after the Bat Watch program presented through Alabaster Caverns at Freedom, OK. We also do programs for the Scout Astronomy Merit Badges, churches, schools, and more. Private parties can be arranged.
