Piedmont Amateur Astronomers Piedmont Amateur Astronomers

The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers was formed  June 28, 1988 by local amateur astronomers in order to meet and share their interest of the night sky.  The club meets on the first Thursday of the month from 7:30-9:00pm at the Iredell County Rescue Squad Building on Highway 115 in Statesville NC.  Anyone is invited to join us.  Club membership is open to any individuals with an interest in the night sky.  The club serves Statesville and surrounding counties.  Please make plans to join us at one of our future events.  Thank You!

The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers would like to thank everyone who came out and visited with us and looked at the Sun thru the telescopes at the Statesville Arbor Day Celebration on April 12th. Thanks for comming out!

The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers monthly meeting will take place on Thursday May 1st, 2014.  The meeting will start at 7:30pm and will take place at the Iredell County Rescue Squad building on Hwy 115 in Statesville NC.  The meeting enterance is on the left side of the building across from the Church.  Make plans to join us!
