Information for Visitors:
April through October, Mount Tamalpais State Park and the SFAA host monthly astronomy lectures and star parties. The astronomy lectures start shortly after sunset at the Mountain Theater above Rock Springs. After the lecture the public is invited to view the stars through telescopes setup and operated by club members in the Rock Springs parking lot. Public observing following the lectures lasts about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

The SFAA hosts monthly public and members-only star parties at the Rock Springs parking lot in Mt Tamalpais State Park. The parking lot is above the Pan Toll ranger station, near the Mountain Theater.
