Houston Area Astronomy Day & InOMN
Houston Area Astronomy Day & InOMN
This is THE event all those who have a love of the nighttime sky wait patiently for - ASTRONOMY DAY - Texas Style! Join us for a day full of speakers, solar observing, astronomy related activities for the kids, and of course, nighttime observing and more through the 36" Gueymard Research Telescope, the two smaller domes, and 25+ amateur telescopes set up on the observation deck. All activities are FREE!! But get there early to ensure you get a ticket for entrance to the big telescope, as there are a limited number of tickets. Last year nearly 3,000 people showed up and had a GREAT time! Don't miss it this year!

As a special bonus, October 8th also happens to be the International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) so we will be celebrating the Moon on Astronomy Day, too!
