Comments and anecdotes about the event:
SCCK Astronomy Program. Program from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. (3 Total) 21 guests. The Sun. We watched part of the Space weather CD and watched and talked about the Auroras that might be visible over the next few days. I did the fusion magic trick and we cut a clay sun in half to see the different layers. Since it was clear we went outside to look through the telescope at the sunspots. We did an activity on how big different stars were in comparison to ours. I had set up the scale model Sun and out to Mars (have room to make it Ceres just not enough time). We then talked about several of the stars using the new size of the universe by the Chung twins (I think they are or just sisters) and showed the students the differences in sizes using the distances from the scale model. Some of those stars are HUGE!!!!!!!!!! Is there a size limit?
