2012 Transit of Venus
The Big Sky Astronomy Club will host a public observing session for the 2012 Transit of Venus across the face of the Sun.  The event will be held in the west parking lot of Flathead Valley Community College.  Club members will have telescopes set up for solar observing beginning at 1:00 PM.  A PowerPoint presentation about our Sun will be offered at 2:00 PM in one of the college's multi-purpose rooms in the Arts and Technology Building.  Weather permitting, observing will continue through the evening, ending at approximately 2:00 AM.
