prepares us for a celestial phenomenon that won't take place again
for 105 years: The Transit of Venus which will take place on June 5,
2012. Come to the Library Theatre on Wednesday, April 18 at 3 p.m.
or Thursday, April 19 at 5 p.m. All are invited to enjoy a free presentation
of the Jan 19th Telecon from JPL /NASA's Night Sky Network and prepare
to safely enjoy this spectacle.
A major cosmic event that won't happen again for more than a hundred years is occurring on June 5th 2012. On this day, Venus will travel in front of the Sun, showing up as a perfect black circle. The Starlight Astronomy Club invites you to view the Transit in the parking lot of the Blair County Convention Center from 5:30pm until sunset.
