Information for Visitors:
If you bring a flashlight, it must be covered with red cellophane or red filter. No white flashlights since it ruins your night vision which takes 15-30 minutes to recover from bright lights.  No running or eating around telescopes.  Do not touch telescope since it may move off the target being viewed.

Location Details

Geiger Community Park (Star Party)
Geiger Community Park is called Geiger Park on street maps. It is located at the intersection of Kapolei Parkway and Geiger Road which has a stop light. It is not a large park but it has 2 baseball fields which can also be used for football, soccer, or other sports. There is a children's playground and there are several courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball. There are restrooms and an ample parking lot off Kahiuka St. There is a chain link fence around the complex with numerous openings. Telescopes are set up in the middle of the large open ball field. You can park along portions of Kapolei Parkway adjacent to the ball fields instead of using the designated parking areas near the children's playground and restrooms. This park is in a neighborhood with houses so please avoid making unnecessary noises.

You can park along Kapolei Parkway or you can go to the next street (Kahiuka) and then turn right to park along the street or look for the entrance to the parking lot on your right. It is adjacent to the rest rooms.
