The Public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, binoculars. If you have a telescope bring that as well. Small but high energy crowd, easy to engage
Some people brought blankets.
Skies were not good. Clouds prevented viewing except for Jupiter, Mars and later Saturn. Brief times where some constellations were visible. Not sure North Star was ever seen.
1/4 of adults had smart phone with astro aps of various types. Seems to be real popular with parents with young kids
