Help us celebrate the return of Public Night at the Observatory this April 25th!  After nearly 2 year of the CSU-P observatory being down for repairs this research facility is ready to once again take on the night sky and SCAS will be swinging its doors (and slit) wide open for everyone to enjoy.

Take in our incredible night sky with views only a 22 inch telescope can provide, from planets of our solar system to deep space objects sure to inspire the mind and imagination.  SCAS members will set up smaller telescopes to provide a wide range of object to look at as visitors make their way to the top of Observatory Hill. Best of all and as always this is free of charge.  Our partners at the Pueblo Nature and Raptor Center have dismissed any fees associated with utilizing the parking lot of the Raptor Center in the interest of providing our community with a wonderful educational resource.  We’ll begin at 8:45 p.m. that evening. Don’t miss this opportunity to welcome the monthly Public Night events back into the Southern Colorado Community.
