Solar Observing Before and After Shopping

Solar Observing Before and After Shopping<p>

Recently Oklahoma City Astronomy Club set up at a store to share views of the sun, and people were fascinated. The sun changes constantly and quickly, so if you look at the sun before you go shop then afterward, you might be able to see some differences. Seeing the sun through a telescope is a wonderful, unforgettable experience that everyone should have. Find out when your local astronomy club will be holding a solar viewing so that you can view the sun safely.

Did you know that lots of our clubs have events during the day that are free or low-cost? Your whole family can go and have fun. And if you're a teacher or work at a museum or library, we encourage you to contact your local astronomy club to give a presentation.

Find a club in your area, find star parties on your iPhone using Go StarGaze, and join the conversation on Facebook.
