South Jersey Astronomy Club
About Us
Welcome to the South Jersey Astronomy Club, founded in 1989. Home to some of the darkest skies in the southern NJ area. We hold monthly meetings, Public Sky Watches throughout most of the year. Also, we hold 2 star parties annually (Spring/Fall) at our Dark Sky location in Belleplain State Forest. Our club enjoys sharing the night skies with the public. We have a knowledgeable membership who will help educate the public on learning constellations and how to "star-hop" to find the hidden wonders within them. We also have knowledgeable members who excel in astrophotography and are very willing to share their years of expiriences with equipment and software to create stunning images.SJAC is very proud of our astronomical outreach program in the southern NJ local communities.
