The Vandenberg Amateur Astronomical Society (VAAS) is your local astronomy club if you live in or near California's Santa Barbara County communities of Vandenberg Air Force Base, Vandenberg Village, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Orcutt, Guadalupe, and maybe even Buellton, Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard, Los Olivos, Los Alamos, etc.
 

Monthly membership meetings are generally held at Manzanita Charter School in the teachers lounge on the second Friday of the month at 7:00 PM.  Visitors to the area and anyone interested in astronomy are welcome, and encouraged, to attend these meetings.

Note:  There are no meetings during the months of July and August (summer vacations) and December meetings are sometimes held at a private residence.
