We are a registered student organization with the University of Oklahoma. Our members consist of graduate and undergraduate students in the Physics & Astronomy Department. Our mission is to share the excitement of scientific discovery with our fellow Oklahomans.
We provide interactive demonstrations, lectures, question and answer panels, and star gazing events free of charge to any group in Oklahoma. Check out our calendar for upcoming events and join us for those that are public. Also, contact us if you are interested in organizing your own private event, whether it be a star party, interactive demonstration, mobile planetarium shows, and/or ask-a-scientist type panel discussion! We also have free weekly star parties every Wednesday night during the semester on the OU campus open to the public! Please see our OU Observatory website by clicking on the "University of Oklahoma Observatory" link below!
We continue to be grateful for the generosity of Ms. Jeanne Hoffman Smith which made our receipt of the 2014 Thatcher Hoffman Smith Creativity in Motion Prize possible. This prize is our prime source of funding and our mission would be severely restricted without it.
