The Amateur Observers' Society of New York, established in 1965, was created as a means for astronomy enthusiasts of all ages to meet together. Our mission statement is "to bring astronomy to the public and to provide resources to members" expresses our commitment not only to serve our members, but also to educate and inspire the public.  Amateur astronomy is about helping others, learning, and having fun!  Reach for the Universe!
