Battle Point Astronomical Association (BPAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit amateur astronomy organization, located in Bainbridge Island, Washington.
Our mission: To provide opportunities for children, students, and adults to observe, discover, and share the wonders of the Universe. Supported by our members and the wider community, curious minds of all ages can engage in hands-on experiences of astronomy, space exploration, and the technologies that make it possible.
We are located in Battle Point Park, Bainbridge Island, WA in the Battle Point Observatory operated by BPAA. The Observatory contains the Rudolph Planetarium, Ritchie Workshop, and Gardiner Library. The rooftop dome houses our PlaneWave CDK-14 telescope.
We hold regular public events and star parties at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island and other locations. Visit Battle Point Observatory for Saturday Planetarium shows, Second Saturday Science talks, Cosmic Conversations small group discussion, and more. Visit our website at bpastro.org and see our current calendar of Events (https://bpastro.org/events/) and to learn how to become a Member.
