"Experience the Universe at Charlie Elliott"
[Note: please check our web site (link below) and our calendar for the upcoming meetings and observing sessions. The events posted there are open to the public BUT the state DNR is currently locking the Elliott Trail gate at 7PM for field access by car. Current dues-paying members of the AAC are allowed to have the gate code, but we are not allowed to share it with the public due to recurring nighttime incidents of vandalism of the Charlie Elliott property. For more information about access, please contact us at facilities@ceastronomy.org. Thank you for understanding.]
Charlie Elliott Astronomy is a friendly, active group of astronomy enthusiasts that meets once a month at the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, 45 minutes east of Atlanta. We typically have a professional astronomer or PhD candidate join us to discuss current research each month. If the weather cooperates after the meeting, we'll make our way down to Jon Wood Astronomy field to set up telescopes and imaging gear until the wee hours of the morning. All of our meetings and observing sessions are free and open to the public. Feel free to join us, and bring your telescope if you have one!
