Manheim Township Astronomy Club is a high school astronomy club dedicated to public outreach for our local community. We hope through this public outreach to bring the cosmos to our guests through planetarium shows and star watches, conducted at the Manheim Township Planetarium. Manheim Township planetarium was built in 2008 and operates a 30' Spitz SciDome with "Starry Night" Planetarium Software as well as "The Layered Earth". MTAC club members utilize this planetarium as a teaching tool for various Earth and Space science topics through our 9 monthly star watches throughout the academic school year. We also host multiple fundraisers to help support our outreach efforts.
