Founded in 1937.  Meets at the University of Maryland observatory and virtually from September to June.  We have public observing in Rock Creek Park in D.C. from April to November, weather permitting.  We have been doing this since 1948 with the National Park Service and it is the oldest public astronomy observing program in the National Park system.
