The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers was formed June 28th, 1988 by local amateur astronomers to meet and share their interest of astrophotography. The club meets on the first Thursday of the month from 7:00-9:00pm at the Iredell County Rescue Squad Building on Highway 115 in Statesville NC.  Anyone is invited to join us. Club membership is open to any individuals with any level of interest in astrophotography.  The club serves Statesville and surrounding counties.  Please make plans to join us at one of our meetings.  Thank You!

The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers monthly meeting will take place on Thursday, February  5th, 2026. The meeting will  start around 7:00pm and will take place at the Iredell County Rescue Squad building on Hwy 115 in Statesville NC. The meeting entrance is on the left side of the building across from the Church.  Make plans to join us! See you there! 

Update:  There will be no January 2026 monthly meeting of The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers.  The first meeting of 2026 for The Piedmont Amateur Astronomers will take place on Thursday, February 5th a 7:00pm.
