Did you know that there are people who help bring the wonders of the universe to Earth, living right in your own community? If you want to bring a dash of space science to a group you work with or serve, such as a local troop of Scouts, library, museum, local science fair, or other community events, you can ask your local astronomers for help!
You can watch a recording of the "NASA in Your Neighborhood" webinar, held with libraries across the country and featuring members from the NASA Night Sky Network and NASA Solar System Ambassadors program, for more information about these programs. You can find even more information and tips for best practices on how to partner with your local astronomers in our article on How to Partner with Your Local Astronomy Club and in the handout How to Partner With Local NASA Volunteers.
Learn more about the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s 2019 summer learning theme: "A Universe of Stories", and other resources and projects that use story and narrative to engage participants in STEM topics with this video.
