Watch tiny Mercury travel cross the Sun the morning of November 11, 2019.
The transit starts at 7:34am on the east coast of the USA, and will already be in progress at sunrise for everyone west of the Rocky Mountains. Mercury is too small to see with your eclipse glasses and requires a safe solar telescope to view. If you don't have ready access, there are alternatives:
- Find a transit-watching event near you, and observe the transit of Mercury with local astronomers: https://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/event-list.cfm
- Watch the transit via a live broadcast from NASA! Check out their live stream at https://mercurytransit.gsfc.nasa.gov/2019/
