The play , "Night Sky"  will be playing at the Herberger Theatre Center here in Phoenix.  The Verrado Astronomy Club partners with the Arizona Theatre Company on this production.  Our members receive a special benefit of $20 off tickets for the production.  It's the story of Henrietta Swan Leavitt , an American astronomer, that made strides in catloging the brightness of stars and the relationship between the luminosity and the period of Cepheid variables.  She was ahead of her time.  She pursued her dream despite the male dominated profession of astronomy at that time.  Our club will be setting up two telescopes at the grand opening on Saturday, November 16, 2019 for the expected 500 to 700 attendees.
