We set up the library telescope there in the parking area in front of the library to make the public aware of the Library Telescope Lending Program. We did have cloudy skies and right under a couple of street lights on the main through way of the town of Silver Lake, KS. As I told the librarian..."Astronomy is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you get." A few people passing by came over to see what we were doing. They were excited to have hands on experience with the library telescope. We had two of them available for the public to play with. It was a lot of fun. After the event, I shared with the librarian the Moon Mission game from the Moon Mini-Toolkit. They have a game activity with the young patrons and thought this would be a game they might be interested in. The librarian thought this would be a nice addition.
