Weather predictions for the evening were not good but three club members did meet at the Park to conduct a public event, not really expecting to do any observing, rather, to greet and talk with anyone that showed up. Fortunately, conditions were far better than expected. We set up near the office building and over the course of the evening 15 visitors arrived, including three with their own telescopes, for a total of five scopes. Clouds held off from sunset until past 9PM, allowing good views of Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and numerous deep sky objects. Ursa Major, Sagittarius, most of Scorpius, Pegasus, Hercules, Cassiopeia and other constellations were on display.
