The Lake County Astronomical Society is happy to have as our guest speaker Jim Kovac from the Chicago Society for Space Studies. Jim will be giving a presentation, "Extreme Exoplanets, Part II".  As the catalog of confirmed exoplanets has grown, astronomers have recognized the wide range of projected environmental characteristics that render these worlds truly unique and challenging for life as we know it. Join the continuing exploration as we examine bizarre exoplanets that differ significantly from our home world. This is sure to be an  especially interesting and educational talk. Jim's presentation will start at 7PM and will be followed by an LCAS business meeting (open to the public) from 8:30 to 9:30 PM.

After the presentation LCAS members will setup telescopes in the parking area at the Volo Bog for the Public to view the night sky (weather permitting). All events are free and open to the public. Please join us.
