Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
Club members helping out were Jack Brisbin, Jim Forrester, Jeff Kopmanis, Ken Cook, Adrian Bradley, David Cooke and his wife Chandra, Matt West and his father Steve. We also had someone who had a homework assignment to sketch a Messier object. Hopefully that happened without much of a problem. As always, we tend to look at the bright objects: M13, M31, M57. When Saturn appeared, all scopes pointed there and provided great views of this planet who's rings are very close to edge on - you can barely tell a gap in the rings where it's just slightly tilted. Overall, it was a good night to be outside, with not much interaction from the bugs and just a few passing clouds.
