Astronomer Chris McKay, from NASA Ames Research Center, will give a non-technical, illustrated talk. He'll show you a world unlike any that astronomers have seen so far.
The Silicon Valley Lecture Series features some of the world's leading researchers in astronomy and planetary science presenting the latest news from their fields in a non-technical manner geared for the general public. Each year, NASA Ames Research Center, the Foothill College Astronomy Program, the SETI Institute, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific partner in sponsoring six Wednesday evening lectures from October through May.
