Oregon Star Party is an annual gathering of amateur astronomers, held each August at Indian Trail Spring in Ochoco National Forest. Located about 45 miles east of Prineville, Oregon, we go to this remote location for the very dark skies, low humidity, and wonderful nighttime viewing. Oregon Star Party is a nonprofit organization, run entirely by volunteers.
