“Two eyes and two pieces of glass revolutionized human understanding 400 years
ago. The eyes belonged to Galileo Galilei, and the curved pieces of glass were
the lenses of his telescope.” This production written by Bob Bonadurer, Director
of the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium, and narrated by Dava Sobel, author of
“Galileo’s Daughter,” gives insight into the work of the famous Italian astronomer
and the advances made by those who study the cosmos with new, more powerful
telescopes.
