The SARA Annual Conference will be held June 29 to July 2 at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, WV. This year the Radio Jove Conference will be held immediately after the SARA conference.  Anyone interested in radio astronomy is invited to attend either or both conferences.

Sunday we start with a presentation of the basics of radio astronomy and how the NRAO 40 ft radio telescope works. Following this you willhave the opportunity to actually use the 40 ft telescope.

Our Keynote Speaker Joe Taylor shared a Nobel prize for observation of the first binary pulsar to demonstrate the existence of gravitational radiation in the amount and with the properties first predicted by Albert Einstein.
Conference registration is open to anyone interested in radio astronomy. http://www.radio-astronomy.org/node/162

We will have radio astronomy projects set up on the lawn for folks to learn about systems that amateurs can do at home.
