Come on down to the Downtown Digital Dome Theatre and Planetarium and enjoy the free planetarium show “May Skies over Tallahassee.”  The free planetarium show is created and presented  by the Tallahassee Astronomical Society.  The May sky over Tallahassee will be reviewed including prominent constellations, stars and planet positions.  The constellations Virgo the maiden and Bootes the herdsman will be highlighted for "Learning Constellations."  The “Binocular object of the Month” is the Whirlpool Galaxy, two galaxies colliding, near the handle of the Big Dipper.  Learn about the stunningly beautiful Sombrero Galaxy, the "Messier object of the Month."  The “Learning Astronomy” topic this month is Polaris the North Star and will include how to navigate using the North Star.  For children we will show how Santa uses the North Pole as his most perfect sundial to tell time at the North Pole.  While you are there stay for the planetarium show “New Horizons,” the 11:00 AM regular planetarium show at one-half off the regular price for those attending the 10:00 AM free planetarium show.  If you miss the free show on the 3rd, ‘May Skies over Tallahassee” will play all month in the regular planetarium schedule lineup for a nominal price or free to CLC members.

The Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee is a 32,000 square-foot facility located on beautiful Kleman Plaza in downtown Tallahassee.
