Star Party at the Lava Hiking Trail outside of Idaho Falls - Mile Marker 287 on Highway 20:
Located on Mile marker 287 Hwy 20, turn left where the sign points you and keep left at the fork. You'll eventually see picnic tables and parking spaces. This is where we setup. Please try to arrive before sunset and please no white flashlights. Red or no flashlights are preferred. Also, bring warm clothes b/c it could get chilly. This event is held on Friday and Saturday nights. No camping is necessary out there. No need to bring a telescope (you can bring one if you want). Just come and have a good time hopping from telescope and exploring the sky with our experts.
