Join the members of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS) at the Garvey Ranch Observatory for an evening of astronomy and science. This is a public event hosted by the LAAS to introduce astronomy to the local community. We have an 8 Inch refractor in the dome, a telescope-making workshop, and at times, we have impromptu lectures or demonstrations. During the warmer months, we may have star parties on the lawn to show you objects in the night sky.
