A half day event beginning at noon at Exelon Generation's Muddy Run Park Observatory and Visitors Center and ending at 4 pm when the Sun is no longer eclipsed.  A limited number of solar eyeglasses will be available.  Several solar telescopes and educators will be on hand to illustrate for pre and post teens how solar and lunar eclipses work, along with presentations outside in the amphitheater or indoors depending on the weather.  Drawing contests for kids, Native American and other nations'cultural representations of eclipses.  Tours of the solar system and other energy and nature displays will be ongoing at the Visitors Center.  No Fee and free parking is available.  Groups are encouraged to RSVP with the Muddy Run Visitors Center (717) 284-5856.

This location is a brand new facility being built as a public outreach observatory via a collaboration between Exelon Generation Company L.L.C. and the Rittenhouse Astronomical Society with the support of volunteers from astronomy clubs in the surrounding region.
