The monthly club meeting is held the first Wednesday of each month at 7 PM. It is a hybrid meeting. In person attendance at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium is encouraged for those living in the area.  A Zoom link is sent to all members via the io. group. The guest speaker will be first on the program with the business meeting to follow.

The guest speaker is Cristina Andrade.Cristina Andrade is a post-baccalaureate research professional at the University of Minnesota's Institute for Astrophysics, specializing in multi-messenger astronomy. Her work focuses on enhancing kilonova detection capabilities using ground-based observatories like the Vera C. Rubin Observatory and the GRANDMA professional telescope network. As a core team member of the GRANDMA collaboration and its citizen science initiative, Kilonova Catcher (KNC), she collaborates with amateur astronomers worldwide to advance gravitational wave research. She is passionate about fostering community engagement through education and outreach.

At the regular monthly hybrid meeting of ASPB, the guest speaker was Cristina Andrade who spoke on the citizen scientist participation in kilonova detection. Ms. Andrade is a core team member of the GRANDMA collaboration and its citizen science initiative, Kilonova Catcher (KNC). She collaborates with amateur astronomers worldwide to advance gravitational wave research. Her presentation generated many questions and was most informative. A business meeting followed.
