Free Public Star Party!  BSAS members bring their telescopes, everyone is welcome to enjoy the view!  We have opportunities for all ages.

The first quarter Moon will be next to Mars, with Jupiter still high and bright in the west.  The stars of spring are rising, with Leo the lion east of the Moon.  Deep sky objects include the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades cluster and the Beehive cluster.  Spring is galaxy season, some of the bright galaxies can be found just under Leo.

Bowie Nature Park

Make a slight left and pass the Nature Center building rather than going under the giant wood gate.  Follow along, the road is gravel at the end and curves to the right.  Telescopes are set up on the grassy hill, cars parked past the curve along the road or past the hill as designated by the park.
