Event

Thank you for being an exhibitor at this year’s Keeping Georgia Wild Family Festival!  We are excited to have your organization join us on May 17th.  Below are some key pieces of information we wanted to share to best help you prepare for the event:

Set up time - you will be able to pull into the parking lot to Margery lake to unload gear and setup your booth from 7:30 am – 8:45 am.  Someone will be there next to By 8:30 am all cars must move to the parking area in the field across the road.

Charle Elliott Astronomy will be set up at a different location this year, right in front of the new Joe Tanner Discovery Center (to the right of and behind the check-in tent). Be aware that the small parking area right in front of the telescope setup area is for handicapped only.

More:

  • Murder Creek Church Road-the road has been recently paved (Yay!). This also means increased traffic on the road. Please drive carefully as you make your way to the festival area and unloading zone
  • All vehicles with the exception of the GFC, EMS and K-9 trucks must be parked in the field.
  • When you arrive, please check-in at the information tent in the field. Some of your spaces have changed from previous years so please make sure you double check your new location.
  • There will be a hospitality breakfast at the Joe Tanner Discovery Center from 7:30-9AM. Please stop in and get some coffee and pastries while you set up.
  • A hotdog lunch will be provided to all exhibitors. Bring a water bottle.
  • The event runs 9:00 am – 2:00 pm rain or shine.
  • CEWC only provides a 6ft table and chairs to exhibitors.   We strongly recommend you bring a 10 x10 ft tent for sun/rain coverage. With no pavilion again this year, no one will have tree coverage the same as previous years and will be in the grassy area. We suggest also bringing some stakes or some weights for your stuff in case of any wind that day.
  • If you are bringing giveaways – please do not have noise making items as this will scare of live animal ambassadors that will be on site.
  • We are expecting 1,000+ people so please plan accordingly
  • We have a map and directions available if you are new to the festival – remember we have the new Joe Tanner Discovery Center area so follow the signs to the unload area and then park in the field.
