Comments and anecdotes about the event:
We were pleased when the clouds cleared in the west and overhead at about 8:30. We had stayed to walk with the group and were rewarded with a view of a woodcock on the ground. There were 22 people on the "Sip and Stroll" walk. About 17 of them looked in the telescope at 9:30 pm to see Jupiter and the Pleiades. The Big Dipper was overhead and Orion was visible as well. Six folks came on the Capabilities van. They were able to enjoy the views. Later, 2 staff members, Amalee and Kendra, used our binoculars and agreed that Pleiades is better seen that way! ~Judy Feinstein
