Event

Spring is right around the corner and it is time to dust off those telescopes sitting in cold storage and schedule a Messier Marathon. This is prime time to have the opportunity to possibly see all 110 Messier objects in one observing session from dusk to dawn. If the Messier Marathon is not your thing you are wecomed to join in on the observing session and observe however you like.

There is another prime time observing challenge you can try for called the Herschel Hustle. This is commemorating William Herschel's April 11, 1785 discovery of seventy-four galaxies in one night. With his telescope, scanning only in declination, he was able to observe objects as they crossed his meridian.
