Powder Valley Nature Center in Kirkwood has submitted a last minute request to have telescope viewing of planets tomorrow night at 5:30 pm.

Guests will be arriving at the center around 5:30 pm to participate in a night hike. 

At 7pm, Don Ficken, Founder of DarkSky Missouri and member of the St. Louis Astronomical Society. will deliver a talk in the main building entitled "Nature at Night: How Lights Affect Ecosystems" (see https://mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/205629). 

68 people are registered with more registrations expected.

Don will be interviewed on KTRS 550 at 8:40 am tomorrow about the program.

We could use at least one telescope setup at the entrance for visitors that arrive. If anyone can support this event, please RSVP on Night Sky Network.  Thank you.

The St. Louis Astronomical Society will provide telescopes for viewing of planets prior to a presentation by Don Ficken, DarkSky Missouri founder. 

Telescopes viewing of planets will be from 6pm to 7pm in the main entrance to the Powder Valley Nature Center. 

The presentation entitled "Nature at Night: How Lights Affect Ecosystems" (see https://mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/205629) is from 7pm - 8pm.
