Event

Celebrate National Astronomy Day on Saturday, May 3 when a trip to the Sandusky Library will allow for encounters with cool telescopes and (plenty of) astronomical activities for all ages. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you observe, learn, discover, and explore the wonders of astronomy.

Astronomy Day takes place from 10 a.m. - Noon and will feature daytime solar observing, hands on activities for children, book readings and a small display of telescopes and exhibits.  NASA Solar System Ambassador, Bill Reed, will present a program entitled “The Scale of the Universe” at 11 a.m. Astronomy Day is made possible with the assistance amateur astronomers from the Richland Astronomical Society and the Black River Astronomical Society.
