PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RIVER BEND CLUB WILL BE HANDLING THIS EVENT.  The Weingarten in Belleville, IL is seeking to put on a stargazing series for the benefit of its guests.  A talk about the sky will be held in the meeting room or outdoor tent at 8 pm.  This will still take place even if it is cloudy.  If skies are decent WG staff will lead the SLAS volunteers and later tbe guests to the designated viewing spot.

Instructions for the Public:

Relax and learn about the sky at The Weingarten!  A short educational talk about the night sky will be followed by telescope viewing of the Moon and other objects.  The viewing will be cancelled if the sky is cloudy, but the talk will still go ahead.
