Westminster Astronomical Society's offical "International Observe the Moon Night" takes place at the Blaine Roelke Memorial Observatory located at Bear Branch Nature Center, 300 John Owings Rd. in Westminster, MD.  Join people all over the world going outside to observe and learn about the moon, Earth's first satellite.

Observers learn about lunar science and exploration, take part in celestial observations, and honor cultural and personal connections to the Moon.  Freebies via NASA for all ages!  Compare what you see to detailed lunar maps.  Ask questions of professional and dedicated amateur leaders in astronomy!

Monthly meeting and main observing site. Meetings second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Planetarium shows 7:30 and 8:30 once per month. Check website for specific dates.
