A presentation titled "Chesapeake Invader" is given at 8:30 pm. This presentation deals with the major impact of an asteroidal object some 35 million years ago that has greatly affected the Eastern Seaboard's geology and ecosystem on the East Coast, and where you can get 'close up and personal' in your imagination to the event, while enjoying a beautiful vacation spot.
Observing is held throughout the evening from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm through our 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor, weather permitting. If the weather does not cooperate for observing we still describe the telescopes to the public and how they operate.
