Weekly event that is open to the public that includes observing, weather permitting, through the 2 large telescopes, a 24 inch reflector and a 10 inch refractor, located in Sperry Observatory, and a presentation on an astronomy related topic at 8:30 pm by one of the members of Amateur Astronomers, Inc. (AAI).

Information for Visitors
Instructions for the Public:

Observatory doors open at 7:30 pm. Note that given when the Sun sets, the sky doesn't get dark enough for observing until about 8:00 pm. The public is welcome to look at the telescopes and see how they operate before it gets dark. There is information in the Observatory classroom for the public to read and view prior to observing and to the start of the presentation. If entering the Observatory after 8:30 pm the public is requested to enter the building quietly as the presentation will be in progress.

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The presentation was given by a high school rising senior. She did a great job providing information about exoplanet water worlds. And she had excellent presentation skills. We hope to hear from her again on a Friday night at Sperry Observatory with another great topic.
