This is an EAS event that they've asked us to attend.

It's in cooperation with the folks at ScientificAdventures.org. Our hosts will be Elise Ricard and Maria Resendiz.

Here is the web page about the event:

EAS Contact: Raymond Howard, Outreach Coordinator, Eastbay Astronomical Society, (510) 326-5405

The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm. We will operate in two shifts: the first can set up at 9:30 am and stay till 1:00 pm. The second can set up at 12:30pm and stay till 4 pm. Optional to do both shifts, if you're OK with being out in the sun all day. Note, there will be pizza for lunch at noon!

NOTE: Please exercise maximum safety when sharing the Sun with the viewing public. All scopes and equipment must be designed or properly filtered for solar viewing.

As always, we are dependent on the weather forecast.  We would cancel only if the sky will be very cloudy or overcast.
