Event Report

Comments and anecdotes about the event:
The forecast for our Mullet Hall event was questionable all week but we took a chance. At sunset, the clouds moved in but people kept arriving. And, true to the Astrospheric forecast, the sky cleared and we had some great observing. We set up on the major attractions: M6, M7, M11, M13, M15 and NGC 6633 plus the Albireo and Mizar/Alcor double star systems. The Big Dipper, Northern Cross, Summer Triangle and the Teapot were quite clear as well as the Milky Way. Then Saturn rose above the horizon and everyone got a good look at the planet plus Titan, its largest moon. The chance paid off and we had a wonderful event. We had 4 members, 3 scopes and 12 visitors
